Sand Addiction Magazine April 2009 Issue
Remember when quads were the primary off-road vehicles you saw in Glamis?! We do, and back in 2009, quads were all the rage out there. So were dune buggies, too. This April 2009 issue of Sand Addiction Magazine took all of the top 450cc class of sport quads on the market and pitted them together in the ultimate quad shootout!
Manufacturers represented at this shootout were numerous. Remember when KTM, Kawasaki, Polaris, Honda, and Suzuki all made 450cc sport quads? This year (2019), the only manufacturer still making a 450cc sport quad is Yamaha. The tuning fork brand makes the YFZ450R. And, after riding the YFZ in the Glamis Sand dunes this year, it is a still an incredible atv!
Casey wrote all of the text for this 450cc quad shootout, and he also had a feature on the Green Machine buggy. It was a great magazine because of all the people involved!
We reflect on this great time of print magazines with appreciation from all involved. We hope we can bring this prolific area back one day soon!
